Burglaries

Two residential burglaries were reported days apart in Manhattan Beach. According to reports filed with MBPD, the first occurred on Aug. 26, in the 1700 block of 6th Street but resulted in no loss as the suspected burglar fled out a rear window when residents returned home. On Aug. 31, jewelry was stolen from a home on the 800 block of 8th Street.

Indecent exposure arrest

On Sept. 5, at approximately 4:49 p.m., Manhattan Beach Police Department officers responded to a call of indecent exposure that occurred in the 600 block of Herrin Avenue in Manhattan Beach. The suspect allegedly exposed himself to a female juvenile, from his vehicle, as she was walking home from school. The suspect fled after the crime and was last seen driving east on 5th Street from Herrin Avenue. He was described as a male black adult in his 20s, wearing all black clothing, driving a small black vehicle.

Detectives investigated the incident and identified the suspect as 31 year-old Richard Eugene Milton of Carson. On Sept. 7, at approximately 1 p.m., Milton was arrested in the area of Rosecrans Avenue and Isis in the City of Hawthorne.  Milton was charged with indecent exposure and is currently in custody at the Manhattan Beach Jail.
