Mourning-side Manor haunts Hermosa Beach

Seasonal apparitions move freely about Mourning-side Manor last Halloween.

Alexander Merl, Katie Hanson and other locals once again will bring fright to Hermosa with “Mourning-side Manor,” a community-driven haunted house and indoor-outdoor maze at25th Street& Morningside Drive.

The manor will be open for chills 6 to 9 p.m. Halloween evening, Monday, Oct. 31, with a preview night 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30.

The maze will include special effects and “scare talent in a style reminiscent of Knott’s Scary Farm or Universal Halloween Haunt.”

The manor is sponsored, designed and built by locals, and while admission is free, donations are gladly accepted.

Last year the manor drew large crowds from across the South Bay, and it promises to be an even bigger attraction this year.

All ages are welcome, but the head haunts advise that the manor is designed to frighten.

For more information on Mourning-side Manor see its Facebook page, or just show up, if you dare!
