After 18 years running his Pier Avenue landmark, Ragin Cajun’s Stephen Dominique  loaded up his pots and pans, Mason jars and Miss Mary’s recipes and set off north, to Plaza El Segundo. But not before thanking his Hermosa Beach family with an early Mardi Gras party on Jan. 31 featuring Grammy nominee Lisa Haley and her Zydekats and, of course, Miss Mary’s hush puppies and gumbolaya. Dominique plans to open his new Ragin Cajun in April, across  from that other small, culinary palace Whole Foods. The opening will coincide with a Bayou Bash in the El Segundo Plaza parking lot on Saturday and Sunday, April 30 and May 1. For more information visit ragincajun.com
