Domestic Violence Awareness Month Candlelight Vigil
The Redondo Beach Police Department will host its 11th Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Month Candlelight Vigil on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 6:30 p.m. outside of the Redondo Beach Police Station, 415 Diamond St. The event celebrates survivors, remembers victims and honors those who work diligently to end domestic violence.

Friends of the Library Book Sale
The Friends of the Redondo Beach Library will hold its annual Book Sale — which offers even better deals on gently used books and media than its typically wallet-friendly prices at its bookshop — on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Redondo Beach Main Library, 303 N. Pacific Coast Hwy.
The Friends of the Library sponsor many programs and services with funds derived from sales of donated materials, memberships, endowments, bequests, and special fundraising events. In 2019, the Friends of the Library have budgeted $63,099 to support the library with program subscriptions, computer donations, library program support and more.
