BeachLife announces ‘SideStage’ chef lineup

BeachLife Festival announced the lineup for its SideStage restaurant, located adjacent to the festival’s main stage.

Three chefs were selected by SideStage Executive Chef and Manhattan Beach and MB Post owner David Lefevre: Top Chef contestant and former owner of Santa Monica restaurant Native, Nyesha Arrington; James Beard Award-winning pastry chef Sherry Yard; and Jonathan Whitener, owner of Silver Lake’s All Day Baby and Koreatown’s Here’s Looking at You, which was listed among the LA Times’ 101 Best Restaurants of 2019.

“Cooking on stage while collaborating with iconic musicians is the most unique food and concert experience I’ve ever been a part of. It’s a true bucket-list experience for food and music lovers,” Lefevre said in a press release.

The SideStage concept was born of BeachLife promoter Allen Sanford’s goal to provide a festival celebrating the music, art, and food of the South Bay.

SideState will serve during the festival’s daily headlining acts, and also offer a brunch option on Saturday, May 2 during performances by Sugar Ray and “Yacht Rock,” and on Sunday, May 3, during performances by Ambrosia & Friends.

SideStage features a $150 per person prix fixe menu, excluding tax and tip. Alcohol will be a separate charge, and each seat includes a signed collectors menu by the Chef. Diners will have access to a premium cash bar and specially curated wine list. Diners will also be permitted in a dedicated viewing area where a photographer will capture the diners’ BeachLife Festival experience.

Reservations will be accepted on all three days of the festival, with the first available time slot starting at approximately 3 p.m. on Friday, May 3. Reservations will last around 90 minutes, coinciding with the artist sets on the Main Stage.

Reservations are only permitted for BeachLife ticket purchasers. Reservations can be made through the Beach Life Website at beachlifefestival.com/sidestage-ticketing, beginning March 11th.
