Physicians Margaret Keller and Richard Casaburi were named the 2019 Lundquist Legends during a dinner last month at the newly opened Medical Research Laboratory (MRL) on the campus of the Lundquist Instutute (fomerly LA BioMed). Keller was honored for her research on helping infants born to HIV affected mothers. Casaburi was honored for research on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), the third leading cause of death in the U.S.
