Decrease Font Size Increase Font Size Text Size Print This Page

The Asia America Symphony Association recently held its 10th annual tennis tournament, dinner and concert at the Palos Verdes Golf Club. Guests enjoyed cocktails and dinner before bidding on live auction items with guest auctioneer Steve Napolitano, Mayor of Manhattan Beach. Rancho Palos Verdes Mayor Susan Brooks presented AASA with a special proclamation recognizing its contributions to the community. Supervisor Janice Hahn also addressed the guests. The evening culminated with a performance by jazz pianist and composer David Benoit and members of the Asia America Youth Symphony. Benoit was joined by special guest artists guitarist Pat Kelley, bassist Ken Wild, trumpet player and vocalist Ilya Serov and 6-time Juno award nominated vocalist Carol Welsman. Proceeds raised will support AASA’s performance and mentorship programs for young musicians.
