Spotlight on the hill – Celebrate Wellness
Their mission is to “To ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action and sustained by community-all free of charge.”
The Cancer Support Community celebrated this message at their 22nd annual Food and Beverage Tasting fundraiser. Over 500 guests enjoyed offerings from over 30 specialty food and beverage vendors, under elegant white tents at the South Coast Botanical Garden. Colleen McDermott, a teen whose mother fought a long battle with cancer, sang a poignant, “Nothing Stops Another Day,” from “Ghost.” The luxe silent auction items included a Goodyear Blimp ride for two and Staples Center box suite seats for the four-time Grammy award winning country music performer Keith Urban.
