Families can pitch a tent and spend the night at Polliwog Park on Saturday, May 16. The city’s parks and recreation department will organize activities including field games, inflatable human hamster ball bowling, ice block sliding, a bounce house and arts and crafts projects. The $30 to $33 fee per person includes breakfast, dinner, camp activities and refreshments.

“Big Hero 6” will screen in the amphitheater at 8 p.m. The 32nd annual Fishing Derby at Polliwog Park Pond will take place Sunday morning. Prizes will go to longest fish caught, most interesting fish caught and most fish caught.

The popular Concerts in Polliwog Park will be held Sundays from 5 to 7 p.m., July 5 through Sept. 6. Bands will include the Dixieland Hyperion Outfall Serenaders, the South Bay Country Band and tribute bands devoted to the Beatles, Elvis, Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond.
