Two women killed in Redondo Beach
Two women were found dead this morning at an apartment at 1903 Rockefeller Lane, according to Redondo Beach police.
Around 10 a.m. this morning, Redondo Beach police responded to a call from a woman who had found the two women dead. Police said the caller was a co-worker.
Police have ruled the deaths a double homicide and confirmed that there was foul play. The victims were a mother and daughter, according to neighbors. Police have not yet released the victims’ names, but neighbors and friends say the daughter’s name is Courtney Bergman. She turned 19 last month, friends said.
Police are trying to identify a suspect at this time, said RBPD Captain Jeff Hink. The residence is currently blocked off by caution tape and blood is scattered on the street.
The times of death of the women remains unknown, police said.
Police will release additional details as the investigation continues. There is no connection to last week’s Redondo murder of a mother by her husband, according to police.
