Golf: Andrea Lee, of Hermosa Beach, was named Golfweek’s Junior Girls Player of the Week after winning an individual silver medal at the Pan American Games. Lee shot a 7-under-72 finishing two shots behind gold medalist Mariajo Uribe, an LPGA golfer from Colombia, while helping the United States win the silver medal in team competition.

Registration is ongoing for Co-ed 4s and 6-man tournaments to be held as part of the World Series of Beach Volleyball in Long Beach. The Co-ed 4s takes place Friday, Aug. 21 and costs $250 per team (8 player max). The 6-man Open (single gender) and College Co-ed 6-man tournaments will be held Saturday, Aug. 22.
