Nearly 300 surfers tackled big, bumpy wind swells and inside sandbars that set up slab-like sections on the reforms during the Dive N’ Surf South Bay Boardriders contest at 45th Street in Manhattan Beach. Photographer Steve Gaffney’s photos shows the results.  The next contest in the series is sponsored by Jack’s Surf and will be held on Saturday May 14 at the Manhattan Pier.
