Throwback look prevails in Manhattan Beach

Manhattan Beach native Patrick Sweeney notched another win in his 2010 distance running competition by capturing the 33rd Manhattan Beach 10K with a time of 32 minutes, 43 seconds. The Mira Costa alum trains barefoot and forewent modern-day footwear while running in Luna sandals to win the event. Kirsten Leetch, of Redondo Beach, won the female division with a mark of 36:16.
