Police officer’s widow files $25 million claims against Manhattan Beach and El Segundo

Tracy Garton, the wife of the Hawthorne police officer who died in a motorcycle accident at the funeral procession of a Manhattan Beach police officer, filed $25 million claims against the cities of Manhattan Beach and El Segundo on Nov. 4. Garton alleges that both cities were negligent in planning the funeral service that led to her husband’s death.
