A package was stolen from the front porch of a house on the 1200 block of 17th Street around 8 p.m. on Jan. 26, police said. The suspect, who was described as 15-21-year-old male with a thin to average build, short dark brown hair, grey sweater and dark jeans, was seen on surveillance footage, according to police.

Prowling arrest

A person was arrested for prowling after being seen on surveillance footage around 8 a.m. on Jan. 28 on the 1500 block of Manhattan Beach Boulevard, according to Manhattan Beach police. The suspect was seen walking through the garage to the back door of the house and then back to the front of the house after the victim was notified that the surveillance camera had been activated. The victim watched the footage and then called the police, who found and arrested the person.

Kids bikes stolen

Two unlocked children’s bikes were stolen from the gated front yard of a house on the 300 block of 7th Street between Jan. 29 and 31, police said.

Broken window

The driver’s side front window on a car at 600 Ocean Drive was broken on Jan. 29, according to Manhattan Beach Police reports. The loss wasn’t immediately known.

Arrest

Manhattan Beach Police said they arrested a driver after a traffic stop at 3 a.m. on Jan. 31 on the 1700 block of Artesia Boulevard. Although the man didn’t have any identification, he gave a name that police said “revealed he had a suspended license out of Arizona.” Police said he also had various pieces of identification that didn’t belong to him.

Stolen packages

A package was stolen from the front porch of a house on the 1200 block of Tennyson Street two days in a row, according to police. The thefts happened between noon and 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 2 and 3.                                                                                

Stolen sports gear

According to police reports, hockey equipment was stolen from a storage bin in front of a house on the 4000 block of Crest Drive between 9 p.m. on Jan. 26 and 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 27. ER
