The Third (Occasionally) Annual Froth Awards and Beer Experience at Saint Rocke [VIDEO]

Three years ago,  the Easy Reader newspaper and the premiere local music club, Saint Rocke, conceived a (purportedly) more tasteful way to commemorate the glory of St. Patrick’s Day and the so-called wearing of the green (no green damn beer). Embracing trend toward quality, class, and local craft, the First Annual Froth Awards and Easy Reader Beer Experience was born. The event, now relaunched after a one year hiatus, is a celebration of our local beer culture.

The Froth has adhered to the same deep localism in its choice of entertainment.  On a menu blending Americana, bluegrass, and folk, are local bands The Get Down Boys, The Walcotts, Kira and the Hollow Legs and The Sound of Ghosts.

“The Froth is going to be a celebration of our bitchin’ community,” said Kira Lingman, who will be blazing a set. “It’s all put together in one event in a nice pretty package.”
