Economic Development Advisory Council
The city council approved the formation of an Economic Development Advisory Council Tuesday night. The purpose of the group, which is modeled off one in El Segundo, is “helping to brainstorm ideas for ensuring economic vitality that are in line with preserving our small beach town character, as well as vetting current proposals.”
The group will work with the city’s new economic vitality manager, Andrew Sywak, who was recently hired.
FOLA fundraiser
The Foundation of Local Arts is having its annual fundraiser for arts education on Mar. 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lido di Manhattan Ristorante and Bar. There will be live music and artwork for sale.
