Thirty dumptrucks lined up Friday morning on the east side Pacific Coast Highway, south of Longfellow Avenue and on the west side of Kuhn Drive, north of Longfellow, to haul dirt from a half block square excavation site at Sepulveda Boulevard (Pacific Coast Highway) and Duncan Drive in Manhattan Beach.

Despite the northbound, rush hour traffic, commuter traffic flowed unimpeded, thanks to an army of traffic coordinators.

The excavation site is adjacent to Skechers headquarters and is being dug down 40 feet to make way for another Skechers building.

The site was formerly a park for Skechers employees. ER
