Hermosa Beach Mayor Mike Detoy will host a “Community Cleanup and Conversation” with residents and School Board President Margaret Boved-LaMonica on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 9 a.m. at Sea View Parkette, 1870 Prospect Ave.
The gathering will be the first of what the newly installed mayor said will be monthly, community gatherings on the last Saturday of each month.
“My goal is to hear from the community about city projects and initiatives and help beautify neighborhoods by bringing together members of the community,” Detoy said in a press release.
Detoy and Bove-LaMonica will provide updates on park restroom upgrades and lead a clean-up of the parkette. Residents are encouraged to bring gloves and paper bags. ER
