The 11th Annual Tour de Pier at the Manhattan Beach pier on Saturday, May 20, raised nearly $1.4 million for three non-profit cancer organizations: the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, the Cancer Support Community South Bay, and the Uncle Kory Foundation for Brain Cancer Research. Supporters pedaled for pledges on over 350 stationary bikes lined up at the Manhattan Beach Pier.
Celebrity pedalers included actor Jacob Bertrand, LA charger Michael Davis, doctor Kristi Funk, UCLA football coach Chip Kelly, Fox Sports commentator and soccer legend Alexi Lalas, actor Peyton Elizabeth Lee, former NFL quarterback Matt Leinart, LA Charger Asante Samuel Jr. , Fox commentator and emcee Rob Stone, and LA Football Club co-president John Thorrington.
