A two-part Beach Cities Health District workshop series that explores the transformative role of technology in enhancing safety and independence while caring for yourself or a loved one with dementia at home. Cancer Support Community South Bay (CSC South Bay) offers this free networking group for those who have been diagnosed with colo-rectal cancer and their loved ones. Participants will share and learn from others who are going through a similar experience of their own. QPR Suicide Prevention Training helps individuals recognize warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade and refer someone to help. Soroptimist cash grant
Applications are now open for the Soroptimist Live Your Dream: Education and Training Awards for Women! Empowerment, education, and dreams can all become a reality for women who serve as the primary wage earners for their families and seek financial assistance to continue their education. Soroptimist International Manhattan Beach will award cash grants to qualified women applicants. The top recipient will then advance to other levels of the organization where they may receive up to $16,000 in additional cash grants.
