Help PVPLC continue the habitat restoration work in Lunada Canyon at the Agua Amarga Nature Reserve. They will be removing non-native plants and/or planting coastal sage scrub habitat. 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Meet at the trailhead on Rock Park Dr. Street, and 6937 Kings Harbor Rd., Rancho Palos Verdes. Park along Rock Park Dr. and Kings Harbor Rd. Wear closed-toed shoes, bug spray, sun protection and be sure to bring drinking water and a snack. This event is moderately strenuous. Abalone Cove nature walk
A guided tour of Abalone Cove led by the Los Serenos Docents. Hike past the unique native flora and fauna and explore the tide pools teeming with fascinating marine life. Moderate to strenuous. Hike is approximately a mile and involves about a 120 ft change in elevation. Kid-friendly hike but the trails and rocky beach are unsuitable for baby strollers. No dogs are allowed.
