Joshua Banzuela inspects the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets Corps, South Bay Coastal Division, at the Redondo Beach Elks Lodge Jan. 21, before outdoor physical fitness. The 35-member group is sponsored by the Navy and Coast Guard. They train one weekend per month at Elks Lodge #1378. Sea Cadets range from age 10-18. Banzuela, 17, is the unit leading petty officer, a senior at South High School in Torrance.
