The fourth Knob Hill Classic volleyball tournament was held Oct. 12 on Redondo Beach, a project by local weekend players Freddie Harb and Jeno Sario.

This year was a 20-team format with two divisions and nine sponsors.

“2024 was the culmination,” Harb said. “The best vibe, the best tournament we’ve had and the level of volleyball was at a peak.”

After pool play, the bracket separated into a “Gold” top-8 team group, and a “Silver,” bottom-12 team group.

Gold Division winners were Gabe Casey, Mark Antonov, Isabell Yang and Dylon Malit.

For the first three editions of the tournament, players signed up individually and Harb and Sario put them on teams, mixing up skill levels. Prizes on Oct. 12 included gift cards and trophies. ER

The Knob Hill Classic took place at courts just below Knob Hill Avenue in Redondo Beach.
