Harmony, a three-month-old American bulldog with special needs, was stolen from a car at the Manhattan Village mall at around 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday.

A family adopted Harmony just a week ago through the Lovejoy Foundation. Erin Lovejoy helped rescue and began fostering Harmony four weeks ago, after the bulldog was found on the streets in South Central. “It couldn’t have been a better fit,” Lovejoy said of the adoption.

Harmony was rescued with her mother, Serenity. Both dogs are deaf.

“We just want her back,” Lovejoy said. “This is just so wrong that this happened to her and her family. Who does something like this after Christmas?”

Also stolen from the car that morning was an iPad, cash and a gift card. The family’s other rescue dog, Diamond, was also in the car at the time but was left in the car, Lovejoy said.

Harmony was taking medications for kennel cough. “The people that have taken her don’t know anything about her,” Lovejoy said.

The family is offering a reward for anyone able to locate the puppy. Lovejoy asks that anyone with information on Harmony’s whereabouts call the foundation at 310-350-0980.
