2013 South Bay Winter Recap Part 1

In the perfect spot at the perfect time, Jacobson captures Malinco in a mid-morning shack.

Surf photographer, Brad Jacobson once said about one of his favorite subjects, Chris Wells, “If there’s a barrel breaking in the South Bay, odds are Wells is in it.” Well, if there’s a barrel breaking in the South Bay, odds are Jacobson is shooting it. It wasn’t the best winter, or the worst, but here Jacobson captures a super session on just another random weekday morning that ended up being one of the better ones of the year.
