Safari Chic in Manhattan Beach

I have always been slightly obsessed with earthy colors. Which is why when army green started showing up in stores, I got pretty excited.

I liked Banana Republic when it was actual a store featuring safari styles – and I already had my outfits picked up for when I finally was able to visit Tanzania. I was that serious about green.

So when I saw Nozomi Smith on the Manhattan Beach Pier wearing pretty much all shades of green – I stopped her in her tracks (sorry for scaring you Nozomi!) and snapped a picture of her perfect monochromatic outfit.

She’s short like me – and still was able to pull off a pair of mid-thigh shorts ($36.97, $42). I am in love with how she paired the outfit with a great pair of cognac cowboy boots ($50) which at this time of year can go with pretty much anything. (Besides wedding dresses… sorry gals) Her button up, although not quite as green as the shorts – makes the outfit really work well because of it’s simplicity ($165, $154$20).

Her ivory scarf ($19.95, $64, $105) although simple – brightens up the otherwise mostly one-tone outfit and is a staple for almost any fall wardrobe.
