In this episode of the Civic Couch show we catch up with the King Harbor Youth Foundation at the King Harbor Yacht Club in Redondo Beach. The King Harbor Youth Foundation is a non-profit corporation created to promote youth sailing in Southern California. They provide access to the sport of sailing to local girls and boys of all backgrounds, in order to build self-esteem, teamwork and a respect for the environment.
In this episode we focus on the KHYF CFJ race program for local high school students. The program offers practices as well as coaching at local and regional race events throughout the year. The King Harbor Youth Foundation offers the use of it’s equipment to members who do not own their own boat.
