This year, the Manhattan Beach Santa Float has its neighborhood routes, dates and a live Santa tracker online at manhattanbeachsantafloat.com. The tracker will go live on Nov. 30.
North MB Holiday Open House and Walk About
The holiday event will take place on Dec. 10 from 5 to 9 p.m. between 32nd and 42nd streets on Highland Avenue. There will be face painting, balloon art, popcorn, cotton candy and live music, and Santa will be stopping by between 6 to 8 p.m. Many merchants will offer unique gifts, discounts, sampling and libations. Manhattan Beach Yuletide 5K
The Yuletide 5K starts and finishes under the Christmas lights of the Manhattan Beach Pier on Dec. 12. Race north to the jetty at 45th Street and back. The course is lit by glow sticks and glow necklaces will be provided to participants. The 5K starts at 5:30 p.m. Packet pickup and late registration is on Dec. 11 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Village Runner, 1840 Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach and from 3 to 5:15 p.m. at the Manhattan Pier on race day.
Holiday Fireworks
The annual fireworks event will take place on Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. The Hyperion Outfall Serenaders start playing at 4 p.m. when the Skechers Snow Park opens. Visit mbfireworks.com for more info. ER
