Zayna on air

Zayna Flaming Grill on PCH in South Redondo will star in an episode of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares next season, which will be filmed between Thursday, Aug. 1, and Sunday, Aug. 4. Email redondorest@gmail.com for reservations if you want to dine during filming.

Miss Global pageant

The first annual Miss Global pageant is being held at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center on Aug. 3. It aims to broaden the definition of beauty in today’s world, and welcomes multicultural contestants from all walks of life who are advocates for diversity and humanitarianism. Hosted by Extra correspondent Rossi Morreale and former Vietnam’s Next Top Model host Ha Anh Vu, the pageant will feature a judging panel made up of celebrities and TV personalities. Little League champs

For the first time in Redondo Beach Little League history, the 10- and 11-year-old boys’ baseball team won the California Section 4 title. They brought it home from Lancaster, after finishing fifth in a statewide pool of about 400 teams.

World class juggling
