Kala Koa Entertainment presents the Slack Key Festival as they celebrate 18 years of bringing the biggest and brightest names in Hawaiian music, taking fans on a Hawaiian musical journey showcasing Grammy-winning and Na Hoku Hanohano (Hawaiian Grammy) award-winning Hawaiian kiho’alu guitarists,along with vocal and hula performances and supporting musicians. Hawaiian Slack Key guitar (ki ho`alu) is one of the world’s great acoustic guitar traditions. 2 p.m. Ticket prices $28-$153.

Moving From Loss to Power–– via Zoom
Cancer Support Community South Bay free workshop led by Ciena Rose William. Participants will learn to explore well-being through creativity and embodied meditations. Sports luncheon
Marvin Pollard and Roy Hughes will speak during the South Bay Athletic Club luncheon at the H.T. Grill, 1701 S. Catalina Ave., Redondo Beach. Pollard, a former cornerback on USC’s football team from Banning High and now an assistant coach at Serra High. Hughes is co-chairman of the Lions South Bay All-Star High School Football Game. The SBAC weekly meeting starts at noon and is open to the public. Cost of lunch is $30.
