Beach sports – Jimmy Miller Manhattan Beach

The Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation hosted a day of Ocean Therapy for 65 kids from JK Livin (Just Keep Living) on June 2, at Rosecrans Avenue in Manhattan Beach. The non profit was founded by actor and surfer Matthew McConaughey. More than 50 volunteers and local charities contributed their time and services. Among the participants were Surfrider Foundation, Growing Great, National Charity League, Sandpipers, Amigos Unidos, Camp Surf, South Bay Boardriders, Yoga Loft, Milk & Eggs, and Jersey Mike’s. The Jimmy Miller Foundation provides ocean therapy for the disadvantaged, and physically and mentally ill, including military veterans from Veterans Hospital in West Los Angeles and Camp Pendleton.
