
Mira Costa’s Eric Mochalski and Jace Olsen were selected as Co-MVPs of the Bay League after leading the Mustangs to a 34-2 record and appearance in the CIF Division 1 championship match. The seniors were selected with teammates Jace Olsen and D.J. White as All-Bay League first team selections.
Mochalski recorded 252 kills, 110 blocks and 95 digs for Mira Costa and joined teammate Kevin Donohue on the All-CIF Division 1 first team. Donohue had a team-high 253 kills along with 77 blocks and 41 aces.
Olsen (219 kills, 92 digs, 68 blocks, 41 aces) and D.J. White (209 kills, 78 digs) were named to the All-CIF second team.

Mustangs named to the Bay League’s second team were Bryce Miller and Michael Beals.
Redondo junior outside hitter Ryan Olson made the All-Bay League first team while teammates Riley Theunissen and Michael Vellutato were selected to the second team.
The All-CIF Division 4 first team was comprised of all local players. Hunter Hovland and his coach Eduardo Bacil were named Player and Coach of the Year, respectively, after leading El Segundo to the CIF title win over South Torrance.
Rounding out the All-CIF first team were El Segundo’s Robert Romero, Lynden Tran and Penieli Tulikihihifo, South’s Charlie Gage, Shahan Goerijian and Ryan Musick, Bishop Montgomery’s Chris Heppel and Leeone Legaspi and North’s Frank Jiminez.

Second team members included Danny Gerber (Bishop Montgomery) and Steve Marsiglia (North). Selected to the third team were Jason Chang (South) and Jonathan Legaspi (Bishop Montgomery).
All-CIF selections in Division 5 included Hank Turnbull (1st, Chadwick), Evan Simon (1st, Vistamar), Conor McCall (2nd, Vistamar), James Lenihan (3rd, Chadwick) and Dayvid Sherman (3rd, Vistamar). ER
