SOUTH PARK PHASE I IMPROVEMENTS-PLAYGROUND REMODEL
Notice is hereby given that the City of Hermosa Beach will receive sealed bids at the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254, until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 12, 2015, for CIP No. 11-537 SOUTH PARK PHASE I IMPROVEMENTS-PLAYGROUND REMODEL which consists of removal of the existing skate rink as well as installation of a two to five year old play area and a six to twelve year old play area, both being accessible for children of all abilities.
All bids must be submitted in writing, on standard forms available in the Public Works Department, at the above address. All bids must be sealed and must be plainly marked in the lower left-hand corner “CIP No. 11-537 SOUTH PARK PHASE I IMPROVEMENTS – PLAYGROUND REMODEL.”
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective bids received. The award, if made, will be granted to the lowest responsible bidder.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach shall hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, to consider the following:
- Precise Development Plan for the expansion and remodel of an existing nonconforming single-family dwelling at 1727 Monterey Boulevard, including demolition of the existing dwelling at 1725 Monterey Boulevard, resulting in a 4,449 square foot attached duplex (a net increase of 69 square feet for the combined lot), and; Variance to allow merging the two adjacent lots to accommodate the expansion and remodel while maintaining a 3-foot north side yard rather than the 5-feet otherwise required by merging and increasing the width of the lot, and determination that the project is Categorically Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
- Text amendment to the Municipal Code to consider adding provisions to allow and regulate retail sales/display encroachments on Pier Plaza and related amendments for consistency and determination that the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
- Amendment to the Outdoor Dining Design and Operational Standards for Pier Plaza per Municipal Code Chapter 12.16 (Encroachments) and determination that the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (continued from the November 17 and December 3, 2014 meetings).
- Text amendment to the Municipal Code to modify provisions relating to the definition and standards for restaurants, bars, places with live entertainment, and on-sale alcoholic beverage establishments including the food to alcohol sales ratio and determination that the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (continued from the November 17 and December 3, 2014 meetings).
SAID PUBLIC HEARINGS shall be held at 7:00 P.M., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254.
