NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach shall hold a Study Session on Special Events Policy on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014. Said session will include a discussion of the types of events, quantity of events and size of events desired.
SAID MEETING shall commence at 6:00 P.M., and as soon thereafter as possible the matter may be heard in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254.
ANY AND ALL PERSONS interested are invited to participate and speak at this meeting at the above time and place. Â All written comments will be accepted prior to or at the scheduled time on the agenda for the matter. Please submit your written comments to the City of Hermosa Beach, Community Resources Department, 710 Pier Avenue, Hermosa Beach, CA Â 90254.
IF YOU CHALLENGE the above matter(s) in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the meeting described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City Clerk’s office at, or prior to, the meeting.

NOTICE INVITING PROPOSALS
Notice is hereby given that the City of Hermosa Beach will receive sealed proposals at the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA Â 90254 until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2014 for:
Providing all elevator maintenance services and materials necessary to maintain the City’s elevators as specified in the City of Hermosa Beach Elevator Services Agreement.
Late proposals will not be accepted.
The proposal shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the City Clerk, City of Hermosa Beach, 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA  90254 and shall be identified in the lower left corner of the envelope “sealed bid – Elevator services agreement.”City Hall is open Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
No proposal shall be considered unless it is made on proposal forms furnished by the Director of Public Works.
Specifications, instructions to bidders, proposal, agreement, general and special provisions may be obtained at the office of the Director of Public Works, City of Hermosa Beach or on the City’s website at http://www.hermosabch.org/index.aspx?page=667 starting Thursday, August 28, 2014.
A mandatory pre-bid Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September4, 2014at 10:00 a.m., City Hall, Council Chambers, 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach. Â All questions regarding this proposal must be submitted in writing to Ells Freeman, Public Works Superintendent, on or before 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 via email to lzeigler@hermosabch.org or phone (310) 318-0222. It is the responsibility of the bidder to inquire as to the issuance of any addenda prior to the submittal of bid.
A business license is required to do contracted work in the City of Hermosa Beach.
The City of Hermosa Beach reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity or informality in any bid to the extent permitted by law.
The City of Hermosa Beach reserves the right to delete any item of the bid or to increase quantities/frequencies in any bid item after awarding the agreement.
