PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach shall hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, to consider the following:

  1. (1) Amendment to the General Plan Land Use Map from Commercial Corridor (CC) to Medium Density Residential (MD) and to the General Plan text for consistency, (2) to allow a Conditional Use Permit, Precise Development Plan and Vesting Tentative Tract Map 73308 for a six-unit residential condominium project, and (3) determine whether a Convex Slope condition exists and whether alternative elevation points along the south property line may be used for the purpose of measuring building height, at 1906 – 1918 Pacific Coast Highway, and (4) determination that the project is Categorically Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
  1. Conditional Use Permit, Precise Development Plan and Vesting Tentative Parcel Map No. 73041 for a two-unit residential condominium project at 615 7th Street, and determination that the project is Categorically Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
  1. Amendment to the Outdoor Dining Design and Operational Standards for Pier Plaza per Municipal Code Chapter 12.16 (Encroachments) and determination that the project is Categorically Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (continued from the November 17, 2014, December 3, 2014 and January 20, 2015 meetings).

SAID PUBLIC HEARINGS shall be held at 7:00 P.M., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254.

ANY AND ALL PERSONS interested are invited to participate and speak at these hearings at the above time and place.  For inclusion in the agenda packet to be distributed, written comments of interested parties should be submitted to the Community Development Department, Planning Division, in care of City Hall at 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254 prior to Thursday, February 12, 2015, at 12:00 noon.  All written testimony by any interested party will be accepted prior to or at the scheduled time on the agenda for the matter.

  1. Fiscal Year 2015-2016 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program allocation of an estimated $138,000 (including $72,000 from Fiscal Year 2014-2015 funding cycle) for Americans with Disabilities Act retrofits at various public facilities throughout the City based on recommendations from the Citywide Building and Facilities Condition Assessment.
