Dive N’ Surf Title Sponsor of Big Wave Event at Todos Santos
Dive N’ Surf, Southern California’s oldest standing Surf and Scuba shop has become the title sponsor for the 2014 Todos Santos Big Wave Surf Contest to be held tentatively between December 1st, 2013 and March 31st, 2014 contingent on wave conditions for swells above 30ft.
This one-day event will take place off the small island of Todos Santos located approximately twelve miles off the coast of Ensenada, Baja California Norte, Mexico. Home to one of the biggest waves on the planet, “Killers”, a right hand point break on the North island, has been responsible for some of the greatest rides in big wave surfing history including Taylor Knox’s 52-foot bomb in 1998 and Greg Long’s massive ride in 2007 which earned him the Billabong XXL’s Paddle-in Award.

By invitation only, this event will be comprised of 24 of the best big wave riders on the planet. Those surfers will include the top 12 internationally ranked surfers on the Xpreshon Big Wave World Tour, 6 Tour/Event wildcards and 6 Killers standouts.

These surfers are an elite group of hardened watermen that defy the very limits of what is humanly possible in big wave paddle surfing.
