Draw with us

ESMoA drawing club for adults. Come in and just draw. Start with warm up drawing exercises and then just draw, taking inspiration from the featured artworks. Free. Beach yoga

Cartoon jamboree

A  winter animation festival runs the gamut of classic cartoon characters and animation superstars. From the silent era antics of Felix the Cat (who turns 100 this year!) to the early talkie masterpieces of Max Fleischer (Betty Boop and Popeye) and Walter Lantz (Oswald Rabbit), these are the delightful short subjects that entertained movie audiences of all ages at the movie houses each week. They don’t make ’em like this anymore – and on the big screen, they will blow you away. Boop-oop-a-doop and vodee-oh-doh! Through Sunday, February 23. Fri. 8:15 p.m., Sat. 2:30 p.m. & 8:15 p.m., Sun. 2:30 p.m. $10 regular admission, $8 seniors (62+). Tickets are on sale at the theater’s box office 30-minutes before each show time. Opening day

Globetrotters

The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters will bring their new “Pushing the Limits” World Tour to Anaheim. Globetrotters’ fans will experience even bigger moments and memories, including a live world record attempt at each game. The Hall of Fame team’s 94th consecutive year will feature over 280 games through April in North America. Shows at 2 and 7 p.m. Honda Center, 2695 E. Katella Ave., Anaheim. Paper with Wallace

Art can enlighten and illustrate complex emotions. Join Wallace Maguire in creating an artwork that honors and expresses our emotional complexities using embroidery on paper techniques. Create a personalized design using a flash sheet of imagery curated by Wallace or design your own using the materials provided. Suggested donation: $10 (includes materials). Setting boundaries

A parenting series with Leah Neihaus, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with adolescents, young adults and their families will present on parenting adolescents. Roaring 20s

Grab your flapper gear and your dapper threads for a night of fun and celebration of Plant A Seed’s continuing successes and build for the future. Over the past 15 years, Plant A Seed has helped communities in Cameroon with educational resources and clean water, helped Jespa Awomah obtain surgery and start college, and has now helped local El Segundo students fulfill a dream to bring after-school sports programs (Soccer for Kids) to under-served communities.
