Honoring veterans

Crecy and Flaherty were among the original members of the volunteer committee that helped build the “Veterans are timeless” memorial where the annual celebration takes place. This year marked the 25th anniversary of the monument’s construction. Monday’s ceremony included a flyover from a Coast Guard helicopter and remarks from Richard G. Council meeting moved
The City Council meeting that would traditionally take place on Tuesday, Nov. 26 has been moved to Monday, Nov. 18 because of proximity to Thanksgiving. The meeting will start at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
