Workers used a crane to lift an 8,000-pound swimming pool onto the third floor of a Manhattan Avenue house under construction. The home of Alysa and T.J. Brenan and their three kids, designed by noted architect David Hertz, will feature passive solar heating through southwest windows, passive cooling using a stairwell to draw a flow of air, solar-heated water, and a large planted deck on the roof.
The Brenan’s home is being built be Epic Construction of Redondo Beach.
