Every August, the International Surf Festival puts on a display of the Beach Cities lifestyle, lived year round by their residents.
In the most competitive Dwight Crum Pier to Pier swim in its 64 year history, Mira Costa High School swimmer Luka Van Dijk, and Los Angeles County Lifeguard Kelsey Cummings crossed the finish line just one second apart.
