Where’s Waldo?

In Manhattan Beach of course! The iconic children’s book character is visiting twenty-five local businesses throughout our community this July. Find Waldo Local is a summer vacation activity and a way to support local businesses and the Shop Local movement, including Nikau Kai, Tabula Rasa, Skechers, Shade, Simmzys, Becker’s Bakery, Trilogy, Gum Tree, Gelato Angels, MB Post, Wright’s, The Souk, Beehive, Bella Beach Kids, the Manhattan Beach Library and the MB Farmers Market. Anyone who wishes to participate can pick up a “Find Waldo Local in Manhattan Beach!” passport, which contains the names of all the participating sites, and get their passport stamped or signed for each Waldo they spot. And to make things a little more challenging, Waldo and his friends have each dropped a precious item in {Pages} a Bookstore. Collecting store stamps or signatures at twenty or more businesses will entitle diligent seekers entry into a grand-prize drawing on July 29, with the top prize being an eight-volume set of Waldo books. For more information call {Pages} a Bookstore at 310-318-0900 and ask for Jasmine Williams or Kristin.
