The Manhattan Beach Creative Arts Center hosts the “Discover Manhattan Beach” exhibit July 12, featuring local artwork in a variety of mediums as a collective portrait of the city and its laidback lifestyle. Opening celebration is July 12 at 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The exhibit runs through Sept. 20, with hours 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and Sundays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 1560 Manhattan Beach Blvd.
Pool party
Kick-off your 4th of July celebration with the annual Begg Pool 4th of July Pool Party, hosted by the City of Manhattan Beach’s Parks and Rec Department. The day features water games, water balloon toss, swimming, and music. No food will be provided, but those attending are invitd to bring snacks and lunch to eat on the grass area. This event is $5 per person.
