Sexual assault
A woman was sexually assaulted late Saturday night on Ardmore Avenue, according to Manhattan Beach Police Department reports.
The woman reported that she was walking to her car on the 800 block of Ardmore at about midnight when a man approached her from behind, knocked her to the ground, and assaulted her. The victim fought off the man, according to police reports, but suffered injuries in so doing. The man fled the area and was last scene running west toward Valley Drive. He was described as approximately 5’9” tall, approximately 30 years old, 180 to 200 pounds, wearing a grey shirt and black sweat pants.
