Former NFL player’s headlights out
Jerramy Stevens, 36, formerly of the Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence near the intersection of North Sepulveda Boulevard and North Valley Drive on Jan. 19. about 1:23 a.m. A Manhattan Beach Police Officer stopped Stevens’s vehicle after noticing the Kirkland, Washington resident was driving with his headlights off.
Stevens was released with a citation and ordered to appear at the Torrance Courthouse on Mar. 19, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department.
Elderly walker robbed at gunpoint
An 81-year-old woman walking in the 2500 block of Ocean Drive on Jan. 24 was approached by a man brandishing a handgun. He demanded her purse and watch, which she gave to him. The man, who fled on foot, was described as black, 20 to 30 years old, 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall, 120 to 150 pounds and wearing a blue hoodie. North Manhattan burglary
An unknown suspect(s) smashed a sliding glass window on the west side of a residence in the 1000 block of 33rd Street on Jan. 15 about 2 p.m. The suspect fled without entering the residence.
Strand burglary
An unknown suspect(s) broke a window pane of a residence in the 800 block of The Strand and likely reached in and opened the door from the outside some time between Jan. 1 and Jan. 15. The residence is a rental property and was vacant at the time of the crime.
Tree section burglary
An unknown suspect(s) attempted to pry open the front door of a house on the 3600 block of Walnut Avenue on Jan. 15 but was unsuccessful. Entry was gained through an open front window. The window screen was removed and placed on the ground. The suspect(s) stole jewelry and U.S. currency. ER
