Open Mic night is back! Season Three started last Wednesday at Fat Face Fenner’s Fishack. Your pick: sing or listen. The best in live acoustic music. Every Wednesday starting 8pm. Sign-ups at 7:30pm. You get 3 songs or 15 minutes. Bring acoustic instruments. Bring friends. No drums. Although no house band, there’ll be guitarists around who can accompany singers. It’s 21 & over in the bar area, but all ages in the restaurant area until 10 p.m.

Delicious Discovery: Honey Butter on freshly made flour tortillas at Palmilla. I know, it’s just honey butter. You’ve had it before. But for some reason you forgot just how good fat, sugar, and white carbs can taste. You end up devouring the whole thing, then ask for a refill, and still ask for more to take home. Or maybe that’s just me?
My Favorite Thing Week #11: Peanut Butter frozen yogurt at FroyoLife, located on HB pier. Never disappoints. No toppings necessary! If you bump into Will or Mike, be sure to tell them Anna sent you.
Bartender of the Week: Patrick Mescall at Hermosa Saloon and Salt Creek Grille. He’s the 6’ 6” twenty-six year old pup from New York able to bend around any alcohol you name. I asked for something sweet, but not fruity. He hit the spot with some “Saloon Sauce/Fur Button” made with cherry vodka. “I’m no mixologist, but my goal is to make sure everyone has a good time and always keep the party going.” He can be found fueling the crowd on Tuesday nights at the Saloon.
