Police Beat: Lasry sunglasses, Hilfiger wallet, French bulldog and catalytic converters

— In the 800 block of Pacific Coast Highway, a victim was approached by a suspect, who asked twice for a cigarette. Upon being refused, the suspect grabbed a cigarette pack and fled.

— In the 4000 block of Inglewood Avenue, a female victim was approached in a store parking lot by a suspect demanding money and threatening to shoot her. The victim said she had no money and was able to flee into the store. The store manager told police the suspect may have stolen bottles of alcohol.

— In the 1800 block of Hawthorne, a suspect entered a store, chose merchandise and tried it on before running out of the store without paying. The item was later recovered.

— In the 2400 block of Graham Avenue, two suspects attempted to steal two bicycles from an underground parking garage in an apartment complex. A neighbor confronted the two with a handgun and told them to leave. The suspects fled.

— In the 2600 block of Matthews Ave., a suspect entered an unlocked residence and stole a French bulldog.

— In the 400 block of Avenue G, a Beach cruiser bike and an electric bike were stolen from an unlocked garage.

— In the 500 block of Francisca Street, an unlocked 2012 Ford Focus entered by an unknown suspect who stole keys to a 2009 Road Warrior motorhome.

— In the 600 block of Meyer Lane, an orange and green traffic vest, hard hat, work gloves and tire jack were stolen from a 2007 Chevrolet 2500 pickup. Entry was by punching the driver’s side door lock.

— In the 1500 block of Pacific Coast Highway, the rear passenger window of a 2016 Hyundai Tucson was smashed. Items taken included a Samsung laptop, a leather backpack, a Tommy Hilfiger wallet, children’s clothing, hygiene items, cash and a U.S. passport.

— In the 400 block of Avenue G, a catalytic converter was stolen from a 2006 Honda Element.

— In the 500 block of Helberta Ave. an unlocked white Audi Q7 was entered. Property taken included the  vehicle registration, insurance papers, a garage door remote control and Thierry Lasry sunglasses.

— A 2002 Jeep Cherokee in the 1500 block of Hawthorne was the target of an attempt to steal a catalytic converter. The unknown suspect left it hanging from under the car.

— In the 2900 block of Fisk Lane, swap meet equipment was reported stolen from a 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe.

— In the 2600 block of Beland Boulevard, two suspects stole a catalytic converter from a white Honda Accord.

— In the 1900 block of Catalina Avenue, a catalytic converter was stolen from a gray Honda Accord. The suspects drove a 2009 silver Honda sedan.

— In the 1900 block of South Catalina Avenue, a catalytic converter was stolen from a gray 2006 Honda Accord.

— In the 400 block of Prospect Avenue, stolen from an unlocked 2012 Toyota Sienna were a Rawley computer bag, Northrop Grumman I.D. and miscellaneous papers.

— In the 300 block of the Esplanade, a 2021 Mercedes SUV was stolen and later recovered by the RBPD.

— In the 2900 block of Fisk Lane, a 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen and recovered two days later by the LAPD.

— In the 2500 block of Grant Avenue, a 2005 Honda CBR motorcycle was stolen and later recovered by the RBPD.

— Further recovered vehicles from thefts in previous weeks include a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado from the 2400 block of Huntington Lane; a 2007 Chevrolet 2500 from the 600 block of Meyer Lane (attempted); and a 1997 Ford F-150 from the 1400 block of Hawthorne Boulevard. ER
