Smeltzer exits Redondo Chamber of Commerce

Longtime Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce CEO Marna Smeltzer stepped down from her position on Friday, June 8. The announcement of her last day was made quietly, via email, on Friday afternoon.

Smeltzer had been with the Chamber of Commerce for 32 years, first as an employee and then as the chamber’s top administrator. She first confirmed her retirement following the 2018 State of the City address in February.

The Chamber’s new CEO has not yet been announced or installed, according to Chamber staff.

They will be introduced on June 15, at the Chamber of Commerce’s annual Community Awards and Installation Dinner, at the Portofino Hotel.

Tickets for that event are still available, costing $80 per person. Reservations can be made by calling 310-376-6911, or at redondochamber.org.
