How to get Teen Choice tickets
Approximately 3,000 passes to next weekend’s Teen Choice Awards are being set aside for residents of Hermosa, Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach, taking place on the sand south of the Pier on Aug. 11. Local residents can obtain wristbands allowing admission on Thursday, Aug. 8 and Friday, Aug. 9, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Tickets can be picked up on the east lawn of the Hermosa Beach Community Center. Although the audience is expected to be dominated by teenagers, there is no age maximum to attend the show; an adult must be present to pick up the wristbands. The adult must provide proof of residency, and may obtain no more than four wristbands.
Approximately 10,000 people are expected to attend the show, where they will be admitted into an enclosure near the stage. The “Locals Only” wristbands that will allow the wearer to enter a special area of the audience. In the event that the 3,000 wristbands are exhausted, general audience passes can be obtained by going online to www.teenchoice2019.com.
