Police believe he is the boyfriend of one of the victims, Courtney Bergman, and based on the circumstances of their deaths, believe he could  be armed and dangerous.

Police still have not confirmed the identity of the two women or how they died, but they are believed to be a mother and daughter. Police confirmed that their deaths happened sometime overnight. The bodies were discovered around 10:08 a.m. after a co-worker of one of the victims entered the house, saw the bodies and called the police.

“It’s sad especially considering this is the second murder in two weeks,” said a neighbor who wished to remain anonymous.

Last Wednesday morning Margaret Goldberg, a mother of two and a South Redondo resident, was shot and killed in her home. Around 6 p.m. (Mountain time), her ex-husband Russell Goldberg, the primary suspect, was spotted and pursued on an interstate in Utah. After a three hour stand-off with a police SWAT team, he fatally shot himself.

Update [8:51 p.m.] RBPD Sgt. Fabian Saucedo said that ongoing efforts to contact the victims’ next of kin have not been successful. “Every effort has been made to contact the next of kin, to no avail,” Saucedo said.

A candlelight vigil is being held tonight at the corner of Rockefeller and Flagler lanes.
